Let's say you are working on a school project and suddenly a blue screen pop ups saying that a fatal error occurs. This screen is called the blue screen of death and causes a lot of heart ache for many computer programmers. Besides losing information, the blue screen can cause internal programs that cause instability in all of your programs. Also, if there's a fatal error, it could cause a complete shut down of your system.
If you Google this program, you will notice that there are hundreds of forums with people stating their problems with the blue screen. Some state that they have internal hard drive failure or that their RAM ports are dirty. There can be thousands of causes for the blue screen and that's why this is such a problem.
However, sometimes the blue screen resolution is very simple and this means that you won't have to reformat your hard-drive and spends hundreds of intensive hours scouring the internet for a solution.
The first step is to restart your computer in safe mode. However, sometimes your computer may try to load the operating system and after it fails to do so, it will restart itself and the process will continue over and over again until you shut off the computer. Obviously, this is not beneficial to you because you may never get to see your operating system again without corrective action. If Safe Mode doesn't work, then you will have to restart your computer and press F8. F8 will load up the start-up BIOS, which will allow you to select a variety of start up commands.
The next step is to select "start Windows with last working configuration" this step generally allows you to get back into the operating system so you can immediately fix the problem. Once you are back into your operating system, run a spyware scanner and your virus checker. Many times the blue screen occurs because of viruses and spyware.
If you do not have a virus or spyware on your computer, then the next step is to think back to the last software that you installed on your computer. There are many times where a installation driver will create an unstable operating system and will cause your computer to give you the blue screen of death. Uninstall the last program that was giving you trouble and this should allow you to safely run your computer again. Do not reformat your computer unless you absolutely have to. And remember to always back up sensitive data!

Get a Free Spyware Blockers Program

Everyone that has a computer should use free spyware blockers programs in order to protect themselves against spyware treats and viruses. Symptoms of spyware include slow computers, random pop up advertisements, software failure, slow boot up, frequent crashing of programs and unauthorized Windows changes. The more you use your computer and browse the internet, the higher the chance that you will at some point have spyware on your PC. If there is spyware on your computer and you do nothing about it, your computer might crash indefinitely.
The best way to prevent spyware is to have knowledge of where spyware comes from. Spyware is caused by downloading programs that contain malicious files that are programmed to steal information from a computer. This unauthorized information access is given to advertisers and other third parties.
The first problem is that many people download add-ons and toolbars for their internet browsers. Most of these internet toolbars are not verified for spyware and can be installed freely. Most of these toolbars are loaded with spyware and will downgrade the ability of your internet browser. The thing is, people who use Internet Explorer will not have the ability to verify this plug-ins as they directly install to the browser once the user agrees to the installation.
There are many free spyware blockers programs on the market; however, there are only a few that are 100% free. Malwarebytes and Ad-Aware Free Edition are great spyware blockers programs because they are free and are effective against battling spyware.
Ad-Aware can be downloaded directly from their website and this is the recommended method as there are a few fake websites that appear to be Ad-Aware but are actually spyware programs. The free program is fully functional and will allow the user to perform a full function scan as well as obtain updates. A paid license needs to be obtained if the user decides to use the program for commercial purposes. Also, the paid version allows the user to schedule scans and receive automatic updates. However, the free version should suffice for most people.
Malwarebytes is also another free spyware blockers program that is comparable to Ad-Aware. However, this program was able to catch more spyware files than the Ad-Aware program and seems to be more thorough in catching spyware. Whatever program you use, make sure to get some sort of free spyware blockers program and install it immediately to your PC.
